The Robo Machines might have ended in July 1985, but that wasn't quite it for Gobots appearances in Eagle... spread across three pages of the centrepiece Dan Dare strip (from the 8th Feb and 15th Feb 1986 editions, Cy-Kill made a bizarre cameo appearance as a robot on an abandoned freighter.

Minus his wheels and with a new colour scheme, this robot even made the cover of the 15th Feb issue. Sadly, the "alien Renegades" promised on the last page of the 8th Feb episode are not Casmodon, Zod, Tank et al, but yet another race of face-melting aliens. Boring, eh?

It'd be nice to think that writer Tom Tully helped squeeze Cy-Kill into the strip, it's more likely artist José Ortiz simply grabbed the character model for reference and hoped no-one would notice. Too late for Bandai to sue?
