from 1982 to 1983, this range was an attempt to translate the success
of the Machine Robo Series range to larger, more expensive figures. Aside
from the opening offering, which was licensed from the Space Cobra
anime series, it was an attempt to ape the Diaclone Car
Robot range, with contemporary vehicles rendered in a decent amount
of detail. It wasn't a success, and only seven figures were made. Six
of these made up the first series of Super Gobots, while the other came
out in the second series, where they're all reviewed. This section just
covers reviews of the variant figures released in Japan, but not America. |
