| With the regular Gobots selling solidly, Tonka made several attempts to broaden the line. One of these were the Super Gobots, larger transforming the figures that began to arrive in 1984. The first series were made up from the Machine Robo Scalerobo DX line (though only six of the seven Scalerobo were issued for the first series; the remaining figure was issued as Defendor in the second series), realistic, detailed transforming cars. The initial figures are mainly remembered for the unconventional robot mode heads. |
