(1982-83)
| The original series of ten figures, mainly drawn from Popy's DX Chogokin range. The exceptions were some Popinika components for the larger robots, and the even larger Tetsujin 28, the only released figure from the Choginzoku line. |

The second range featured the first introduction of ST Chogokin to the line, in an attempt to lower the price of figures and hook fans. Also issued were the first vehicles from the Big Scale Ships range of playsets. There was considerable attention paid to tying figures together - I guess the marketing logic was a kid might give the ST Dynaman a go, like it, get the DX as it must be even better, then decide to get a Dyjupiter to go with it. A number of Series I figures were included in Series II assortments, some in changed packaging. |

As the line's ongoing commercial failure began to really bite (and Chogokin sales began to fall in Japan), Bandai issued fewer new figures, although a plethora of reissues from Series I and II once again joined the line in updated packaging. |

Bandai, as a last ditch effort, renamed the line for its' final series, trying to make it sound a little more action-and-adventure, I guess. Four years of figures being drastically reduced hadn't been lost on Bandai. however, who only issued a small handful of new figures. |

I'm not
sure on a lot about these little figures. They were 3" tall non-transforming
versions of 1970s Chogokin characters, presumably sold as pocket
money toys by Popy. At some point, probably early on (though the packaging
doesn't actually bear any dates), they were issued as part of Godaikin.
All six of the figures had been previously issued by Mattel as Shogun
Warriors
Collectors Figures The Godaikin cards also didn't carry any individual names, so where a Godaikin name doesn't exist (two characters were only issued in this form for the line) I've used the Japanese one. In terms of look and colours, most of these bear only a passing resemblance to the characters they are based on. |
