MAYAYA RAU

First Appearance: Episode 1 - "Ideon Resurrected"
Final Appearance: Episode 7 - "Escape into Null Space"

Mayaya was the maid-cum-bodyguard to Lady Karala, and accompanied her to Logo Dau on her ill-fated reconnaissance flight. They were separated, but soon reunited onboard the Solo Ship.

While onboard she and her mistress were locked up on several occasions, and while Karala began to grow interested in staying with the colonists, Mayaya kept pushing her to return to the Buff Clan. She was shot by a Solo Ship security guard while trying to escape with a reluctant Karala.

Her spirit is later seen with that of Damido, acting very much like a couple - however, the pair are never actually shown to speak to each other, and he doesn't seem to care that she's onboard the Solo Ship.

Mayaya had a different death in A Contact, where she was shot by Lotta while caged onboard the Solo Ship. I'm not entirely sure where to file her - she seems more like a maid with no real military training rather than a soldier.
