It also contains a few articles, though obviously these are in Japanese, and I can't read Japanese... The best bit is the colour section of animation models, plus some of the gorgeous artwork produced for mangas and other books at the time of the series. If I have a complaint about these, it's that the colour section's reproductions are too small - I'd happily pay for a book just featuring full-page reproductions of the artwork, not to mention the colour animation models with the same treatment. The colour section also includes some lavish pictures of the Soul of Chogokin figure - this is a bit of a shame, admittedly from a selfish point of view, as images of that toy are easy enough to find - I'd have preferred the original, flawed but expensive (and therefore ideal fodder for a picture book) Tomy figures were covered. |
